About
Welcome to Turners Kitchen Bar, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Leesburg, Florida, at 114 S 5th St. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I am thrilled to bring you the essence of this unique dining destination that expertly balances local flavors with exceptional service.
At Turners Kitchen Bar, every meal is a celebration of freshness and creativity. The establishment prides itself on sourcing ingredients from local farms and businesses, ensuring that each dish bursts with the flavors of the region. Customers rave about the summer menu, which showcases a delightful array of seasonal offerings. Dale Tompkins, a satisfied diner, highlighted the restaurant’s partnership with local suppliers, noting how it elevates the dining experience with fresh and unique flavors. It's evident that Turners is committed to delivering not just meals, but memorable experiences.
For those who appreciate variety, the menu offers standout items like the ribeye, surfside striploin, and the ever-popular duck breast on rice. Each plate is crafted with attention to detail, and the gluten-free options ensure that everyone's dietary needs are catered to. As Anette noted in her review, the flourless chocolate cake is an indulgence you won't want to miss—often described as heavenly, it’s the perfect way to end your meal on a sweet note.
The ambiance at Turners Kitchen Bar also deserves mention. The service is consistently praised for being professional yet cheerful, making every visit feel warm and welcoming. Lisa Bender shared her delightful lunch experience, beginning with hush puppies and followed by a salmon special that left her wanting more. The attention to portion sizes ensures that you won’t leave hungry, but you might just find yourself ordering a little extra to take home!
However, it’s important to note that the charm of Turners Kitchen Bar extends beyond just food. The dining pace is reflective of their commitment to quality; as Hana Whitfield experienced, it may be a finer dining experience, so patience is key. But as Tom K remarked, each visit feels rewarding and fulfilling, making it worth the wait.
In conclusion, Turners Kitchen Bar is not just a place to eat, but an invitation to partake in a local culinary adventure. With its commitment to fresh ingredients, exceptional service, and a cozy atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in the heart of Leesburg. Whether you're joining for a casual lunch or a refined dinner, Turners promises to create lasting memories around the table.
“ We had an amazing dining experience at Turner's. The wait staff was professional and cheerful and helpful in making our selections. We had come just as they had switched to their summer menu. Everything we had was so fresh and we loved how they partnered with local farms, diaries, and businesses to create unique dishes. We were also fortunate to be there on a Friday night so lobster tails could be your entree or added to any dish. ”
“ We had lunch at Turner's yesterday. We rarely eat out and this is our second visit. Service from the hostess to the wait staff was spot on and a pleasure for us. We started with the hush puppies with three flavored butters and they were just too delicious. The portion was more than enough for two to split with leftovers which went into a take out container. For a main hubby had the daily special salmon with rice and wilted greens and I had the burger salad with blue cheese dressing along with a side of Cole Slaw. With two mixed drinks and a organic coffee the total as 74.89 with a tip the tab was 100 for lunch. The salmon meal was excellent. The burger salad hit the spot with a huge salad and the best burger I have had in a long long time. The blue cheese dressing was very good. Most of the salad went home in a take out container because I indulged too much in the hush puppies. The only suggestion we would make is to tweak the Cole Slaw. It needs a bit of acid, pre-dress the cut cabbage with some vinegar and salt and pepper than add the dressing and you would have a significantly better dish. Overall a lovely lunch priced on the high side, but that is the nature of all things today post pandemic. ”
“ Turners Kitchen & Bar offers a delightful dining experience with mouthwatering dishes like Ribeye, Surfside Striploin, and Duck Breast on Rice. The flourless chocolate cake was heavenly. Service was slow but worth it. The gluten-free options were well catered to, making it enjoyable for all. ”

“ We came on a Friday night without a reservation so we sat at the bar. I started with the sidecar, very simple and very strong. We got the tuna appetizer. I got the surf n turf and my husband got the founder and lobster special. It was all great. This is a finer dining experience so don’t expect it to be too quick. ”
“ This was our first time here and is an amazing restaurant. Great for a date night, the drinks and food were fantastic. Krista was our “person” she was so helpful and attentive. You won’t be disappointed coming here. ”
“ We ordered fried green tomatoes for appetizers... everyone loved them! I had the fire grilled vegetables, which were very nice! It was a nice selection of vegetables. I did wish they had a large vegan salad as one of the menu choices though. My husband had the pork chops which he loved. He said they were cooked perfectly. My sister got the salmon and loved it, and her husband got the shrimp and grits which he loved. The weight staff was very informative... I have a number of questions for them since I have a very clean diet and wanted to make sure that I wasn’t getting any surprises. They did a very nice job! ”
“ First time! Everything was great. My server, Tish was very attentive and described the specials in detail. I ordered salmon with brown rice and spinach. Salmon was cooked perfectly! I enjoyed it very much. Brought caramel bread pudding desert home to enjoy later. I definitely plan on returning to Turners in the near future! ”
